[00:00:00] Sir Patrick Stewart, the acclaimed actor who brought Captain Jean Luc Picard to life in Star Trek and portrayed Professor Charles Xavier in X Men, has died at 86, his spokesperson said. Stewart died on October 28 at his Los Angeles home following Alzheimer's disease and Lewy Body Dementia. A distinguished Shakespearean performer, Stewart became a familiar presence to millions through seven seasons of the Next Generation feature films and his return in Star Picard.
