Vegas High-Speed Rail Hits 99% Milestone

The final environmental assessment for Brightline west is now 99% complete. That's huge. Environmental clearance is one of the biggest hurdles for infrastructure projects in the United States. It involves years of studies on wildlife, air quality, traffic noise and community impact. The electric trains are designed to reach speeds up to 200 miles per hour, cutting travel time between Rancho Cucamonga and Las Vegas to about two hours.
